Opened in 2013 through the efforts of “Friends of Naivasha,” and Fairtrade Africa, the hospital has transformed maternal healthcare in the region, providing lifesaving care to over 180,000 mothers and babies.
Building New Hope
The "Friends of Naivasha" Maternity Hospital is now delivering 500-600 babies each month with 50-60 babies in the NICU. The hospital continues to be recognized as a leader in maintaining lowest mortality and morbidity among regional hospital in Kenya.
The Friends of Naivasha Maternity Center has become a large teaching center for Kenya Medical Schools and Residency programs, as well as attracting Residents from University of Nebraska Medical Center and Washington University in the U.S.
